With the 2nd in in the series of 2024 Cars & Rockies Car Shows, Autowash partnered up with Northern Colorado Credit Union to raise funds for Weld Food Bank as part of the Compete to Beat Hunger initiative. With 33% of Coloradans lacking reliable access to nutritious foods and 16% of Colorado children not receiving adequate nutrition due to financial constraints at home this is a cause that the car community was ready to rally behind.
"Food insecurity is more common than most of us realize" says Autowash VP of Sales & Marketing, Dylan von Kleist. "I've learned through this collaboration that it impacts nearly every demographic. With rising costs of everything, it has become a bigger problem for all our communities."
Using the June Cars & Coffee presented by Autowash event as the vehicle for the fundraiser, participants had the chance to win signed Rockies memorabilia, game tickets, Adam's Polishes kits, and of course Autowash discounts in exchange for their donations. The generous nature of the car community raised nearly $800 in just a few hours, which was generously matched by Erin and Dennis Dreeszen, founders and owners of Autowash.
